Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast
Announces the Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup

Stuart, FL – (March 27, 2008) — The Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast (MIATC) will be holding its first Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup on July 19, 2008. Thanks to sponsorship from the Florida Inland Navigation District, MIATC will be able to conduct this cleanup along the waterways of Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties this summer.

There are several Coastal Cleanups that take place throughout the Treasure Coast which are vital to the health of our beaches and shoreline, but this will be the first cleanup that specifically concentrates on the waterways, spoil islands and area canals. We are seeking additional sponsors, service organizations, boating clubs, individuals, young and old to participate and make this cleanup a big success.

For more information please contact Vera Locke, 772-692-7599 or visit www.miatc.com.
