Blue Bullet Hurricane: A tropical cyclone that rotates counter-clockwise with sustained winds of 74 mph.
Blue Bullet Hurricane Season: The official season runs from June 1 through November 30.
Blue Bullet Hurricane Watch:
Alert given when a hurricane poses a threat to a certain coastal area within 36 hours.
Blue Bullet Hurricane Warning: A hurricane is expected to strike within 24 hours with sustained winds of 74 mph or more, accompanied by heavy rain and high waves.
Blue Bullet Saffir-Simpson Scale: Classification of hurricanes by wind strength.

Blue Bullet Small Craft Warnings: When a weather system threatens a costal area, small craft are advised to remain in port and not to venture into the open sea.
Blue Bullet Storm Surge: A rise in tide caused by a hurricane as it moves over or near the coastline. It can be much higher than the normal rise, with breaking waves on top.

Blue Bullet Tropical Storm: Distinct circulation with sustained winds of 39 to 73 mph.
Blue Bullet Tropical Storm Watch: Alert given when a tropical storm poses a threat to a certain coastal area within 36 hours.
Blue Bullet Tropical Storm Warning: A tropical storm is expected to strike within 24 hours with sustained winds of 39 to 73 mph.

Given any time when there is a change in weather conditions or change in warnings previously released.

/Hurricane Intermediate Advisory:
Updates information in advisories at 2- to 3-hour intervals, whenever a watch or warning is in effect.
  
     
NOTE: Drawbridges will be locked down when winds reach 39 mph or official land evacuation is ordered, whichever occurs first. The Department of Public Safety, Emergency Operations, the Florida Marine Patrol and the Florida Department of Transportation may coordinate flotilla efforts to move boats through the drawbridges in groups to avoid unnecessary bridge openings.
